Jyväskylä is the largest city in the province of Central Finland. It is located in the west of Finnish Lakeland, 270 kilometres north of Helsinki and 150 kilometres north-east of Tampere.

Jyväskylä is easy to navigate on foot or by bicycle, bus or car. The city center is located between Lake Jyväsjärvi and the Harju ridge. The center offers easy connections in all directions. There is the main pedestrian street (street Kauppakatu) just in 5-minute walk from the Paviljonki conference center. The variation of restaurants is great, and you can find nature and lake Jyväsjärvi just around the corner.

Arrival, connections
By Flight

By Train
Jyväskylä is located in the middle of Finland, within a reasonable distance from anywhere in the country. This makes the city conveniently accessible by rail. The rail journey to Jyväskylä takes 1.5 hours from Tampere and less than 3.5 hours from Helsinki. Finnish trains in economy class are great quality and easy to travel with. There is also the business class for better privacy and space.
